YEAR 10 FILM STUDIES - FILM HISTORY Lumière: L'Arrivée d'un train à La Ciotat (1895)

Following on from today's lesson here is an extract from the Lumiere brothers' short film. Can you remember the reaction of the audience when they saw this for the first time?

Why do you think it was important that the Lumiere factory was located in Lyon, in the South of France? A clue lies in the name Lumiere!
